How we count
Measured, not estimated
The ticket count is what the booking system itself publishes for every screening: a sold-seats counter or the taken seats on the room map. There is no model and no extrapolation.
One chain, not the whole market
These are 2 Forum Cinemas cinemas, not the whole national box office. The report shows how this one chain is doing.
Presales turn into results
Every screening is checked again for a week after it plays, so we record the final audience rather than the presale figure.
A cancelled screening does not count
A screening that disappears from the programme is marked cancelled and left out of the totals, so tickets sold for it do not inflate the result.
No data is not zero
A screening without a ticket count is treated as unknown, not empty. A month we have not downloaded in full is marked and left out of comparisons.
Occupancy only where the room is known
Where the booking system did not publish screen capacity (all of 2019 for this chain), occupancy is not computed. The ticket count is complete from 1 septembre 2025.
